Poison bait or gas is another option. Some are available at your local hardware store. Use caution and in certain circumstances, this one is best left to a professional because of the hazard to yourself and the ground water surrounding you.
Home remedies can also be effective. One great remedy includes castor oil.

Mole Poison
With the first onset of moles, you may opt to try to care of them yourself. So, how do you poison mole? Choose a poison from a hardware store and read the directions carefully. Often times you will pour a designated amount of granule down a hole. There are also baitworms and mole gas that can be effective. Use caution around your pets and small children to reduce the chance of poisoning them while trying to eradicate a mole.

DIY Mole Eradication
Are there any safer methods to rid your lawn of moles? Yes, there are!

How about mothballs, they are thought to work for other rodents. Do moth balls get rid of moles in your yard? We would love to say yes, however, research says otherwise. The mothballs will not be in a high enough concentration to deter the moles from your lawn and cause them to find a new home. You would need to use an unreal amount for it to be effective. So, in short, no- mothballs do not work.
Castor oil sprays do not work for the same reason. It's not in a large enough quantity to matter. So, how do you use castor oil to get rid of moles?

Mix one quarter castor oil with three quarter parts water and dump down the mole tunnels. Be sure to locate and pour down every tunnel you can find. moles do not like the aroma of castor oil and in this quantity it will cause them to flee your property.
